Individuals
Whether you’re prompted to visit a counsellor by a specific event or a general sense of unease or being stuck, I offer you a safe, confidential and judgement free space to explore what is going on for you. Together, we will look at your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and the relationships between them to help you understand how you got to where you are and identify ways to make the changes you seek.
How long and how often are the sessions?
I provide 50-minute sessions, usually on the same day and at the same time each week as I believe that there is a psychotherapeutic benefit to be gained from the structure. Busy lives and changeable work schedules sometimes make this impractical and we can discuss and create a schedule that suits your individual needs.
What sort of clients do you see?
Anyone who thinks that they might benefit from working with me as long as they’re over the age of eighteen. I am experienced at working with men and women ranging in age from early twenties to the retired, and with neurodivergent clients, and I consider myself to be an LGBTQIA+ ally. I have supported clients from various communities with a wide range of challenges and experiences, both personal and professional.
How many sessions will I need?
That is generally dependent on what it is you bring to counselling and what you discover about yourself as we work together. For some, six to twelve sessions are enough to address a specific issue, while others might wish to spend a year or more as therapy reveals the complexities of their lives. This is something which is always open for discussion and review to ensure that our working together continues to be of benefit to you.
